( KILL LOG - WEEK 5, KNOLL )

[It's late on Thursday night. What little alcohol could be salvaged from the Lounge has been taken away for this "special" occasion, transported to the Library where both of our protagonists for the night will have a friendly chat. Or, well... As friendly as a chat can be, between a murderer and his next victim.

Now, what conversation is taking place?]

[ Knoll knew so many things, and of them, the true nature of Tsurugi's character (or rather, his actions.) He was told to be careful, but he could care less about his own life, as he knew that even such a thing was ephemeral in the end, and he hardly found himself enjoying it. Of course, one could simply point the blame as belonging to their surroundings, however...

Well, after he had wrapped up his personal business, he found it was all too easy to draw the man in for the conversation. It was an inevitable conversation, Knoll had thought. It was all too easy for him to foresee these types of things, after all. ]

You've been enjoying yourself these past weeks, haven't you? There's no need to hide it, and there's no point in doing so. After all, people can be quite easy to read.

[ His tone isn't friendly. It's hard. Cold as ice. ]

Woah, Knoll-chan. No need to act so cold. Warm up a bit?

[ Buuut he knows why they're here, so he probably deserves that cold reception. Anyway, Tsurugi will just give him a nonchalant shrug, and a smile. ]

You've been getting waaay too close to comfort, though. Are you still hung up about Hibiki-chan? Did you think I did anything else? I kind of want to hear it!

No. I don't warm up easily to people like you.

[ One of Knoll's fingers moves slowly around the top of one of the glasses he's pulled out for the both of them -- of course it'll be his own. ]

Of course I'm still irritated by what you did to Hibiki. But, yes I do think you did something else. Not that I could prove that you had anything else to do with another individual's murder last week. You didn't sport any noticeable injuries--how lucky for you.

Yeah, you were really on my tail. I made sure to be extra prepared for last week, but you know, the whole 'assassination' thing isn't really my style?

[ He shrugs. ]

Buuut I might as well tell you! I'm getting paid very well for doing all this- the entire deal with the kitchen and Aloy-chan? That was me. However, since you're getting too close to my comfort...

[ Tsurugi will reach into his jacket and take out a handgun. He's... Not going to point it at Knoll just yet? He's being awfully calm about this, since they're having such a nice chat! ]

I'm going to have to do some clean up work! I hope you don't mind at all, Knoll-chan, but I have no choice! I'm enjoying this conversation though, but I'll warn you, you're not getting out of here alive, sadly.

[ Knoll released a small, shuddering breath. This is going to hurt, wasn't it? No... he knew it was going to in the first place. He hoped that Percival would forgive him.

Still, he needed to make him let go of that gun somehow. Or maybe he hoped in vain that he could make it happen. Though, Tsurugi could always still kill him with something else...but he'd rather not be shot to death. ]

Of course I mind. I don't know why or how you're getting any enjoyment out of this conversation. Is it because you know you will come out of this alive?

[ Well, his hand goes to wrap around the bottle of wine. Now that he's been threatened, he may as well be prepared to strike. ]

Well, I mean- I am a part of a combat unit. I only know how to fight and kill.

[ Seeing Knoll wrap his hand around the bottle of wine sure is interesting though! Well, maybe he should've expected Knoll to be a bit defensive. ]

Are you going to hit me with that?

[ Do it. I dare you. ]

You're not the only one who was part of a combat unit!

[ He knows that the man was just provoking him, but if he was going to die, he may as well give Tsurugi the beating of his life (and try to make him let go of the gun while he was at it.) The dark mage's swing was done as hard and quickly as he could--he aimed for the face hoping the hit of the bottle would land and disorient him enough. ]

[ The bottle makes contact! It does get Tsurugi to drop his handgun, and recoil a bit. He'll rub his head, wiping off any debris or excess wine. ]

Ow- ow... I wouldn't have guessed! You usually act so soft, Knoll-chan. You can hit pretty hard though, but not hard enough.

[ That's going to leave a mark though... But Tsurugi does have a surprise up his sleeve! In his jacket, he reveals a knife; he'll kick the table over in Knoll's direction and Tsurugi will launch himself at Knoll.

Get ready for a good ol' stab at the throat, Knoll. Who knows though, maybe his trajectory will be off considering he just got hit in the head. ]

[ Knoll isn't expecting the table to be kicked over at him, and so he stumbles back. However, he tries his best to move out of the way of a fatal stab--and he's managed to maneuver himself from taking the hit fatally, but there was a line of blood on his right cheek.

Still, just behind he had broken the bottle on Tsurugi didn't mean that he was defenseless. ]

If I hit you too hard, I would be complicit for your murder, and of all the ways to die I would rather it would not be by execution.

[ The dark mage steps forward, and takes out a scalpel, and takes a harsh thrust forward in an attempt to stab at the center of Tsurugi's chest. ]

If you say so! That's a stupid mistake on your part though, Knoll-chan.

[ Considering how so many people probably want Tsurugi dead, BUT ANYWAY... That doesn't matter to him, sooo...

Tsurugi will twist his body so the scalpel hits his shoulder as opposed to his chest. However, upon taking the hit, Tsurugi will swing a leg and hit Knoll right in the side to knock him over. ]

... You're really insufferable--

[ Knoll learned how to block and all but he's never had to block kicks before, and his reaction time in attempting to even so much as dare avoid it is sincerely unfortunate. He also weighs very little, so he goes down like a sack of potatoes (or maybe it's more like cabbages seeing as they're much lighter.) It's an ungraceful tumble to the ground even, and he grimaces.

He's going to take a moment to pick himself off of the floor but that probably leaves him open to an another attack. ]
