Part of the fun of playing in a murdergame is having a shot at crafting a murder. After all, who says factions should get to have all the fun?

But in order to make this happen, we ask that you submit a quick murder proposal first. This is mostly for organizational purposes (partly to avoid our timeline being flooded with easily missed PPs), and so we can determine whether a murder can take place during any given week or not. Don't worry if you've never done it before. No proposal needs to be perfect before making it to this page, it just needs to have a proper backbone.

We'll be shooting you a PP through plurk to give you the yay or nay, and help you iron out the details. In keeping with this, we would like to remind everyone that no character is infallible. Though we don't expect killers to be caught every single trial, there should always be a critical detail or mistake that will allow other players to solve the case... if they manage to put the pieces together.

Murder proposals must be submitted to this page using the following form, inspired by

cradleproject's proposal system. All murder proposals must be submitted before Tuesday, 9:00 PM EST to be taken into consideration. We will contact you on Plurk to give our blessings/reschedule/finalize the murder before Thursday 12:00 PM EST.

Character name: Your character's name.
Contact: Your plurk account, preferably, so we can iron out the details.
Suggested target: Who are you going to kill? We ask that you keep it to four victims maximum.
Suggested executioners: Should your character be caught, select five (5) characters for the Executioner Vote. This is your chance to hurt your friends.
Incentive: What are they asking for in return for murdering someone? This is where the Rewards/Motivations part of your application comes in.

Murder plot: Give us the basic gist of how your character will carry out the kill. It doesn't have to be anything super duper detailed — just enough for us to have an idea of how viable your character's plan is, and if it can be done during the current week. Even something as simple as "they're going to shoot them in the face???" would work.

Evidence/Clues: Again, there is no such thing as a perfect murder. While it shouldn't be obvious your character did it (unless you want it that way), it should still be possible for other players to figure it out by putting their critical thinking skills to use. You may suggests ways the victim could mess things up for the killer (by bruising them, for example) or items/weapons left behind. We suggest obscure, canon-specific clues be left aside. This is so the trials are fair. Or... fairish.

Character name: Kaito

Suggested target: Akira Kurusu
Suggested executioners: Yukina, Percival, Andersen, Jay, Quer
Incentive: NADA. He's doing this save dead people obviously?? But if he could ask for something, I guess he'd ask that if he's one of the final three and he is the one who takes the deal of eternal servitude to revive the dead, then he wants to send a letter home to Aoko.

Murder plot: He'd borrow the handgun either Tsurugi or Girge used for their murders! Then he'd make a digitalis poison from the foxglove plants in the garden (by drying them out and crumbling them up) and ask Akira to the lounge, ordering them coffee/tea/SOMETHING and hoping that the taste of the plant is masked by the drink. He'd wait until Akira is passed out, but not dead (to avoid the gunshot wound being pegged as post-mortem), prop him up against the wall and shoot him in the forehead executioner's style. He'd then use Akira's blood to draw Mira's ghost symbol on the wall above him to try and make it seem like it's a Prophet kill, and they're calling out the Hunters! He'd then deposit the handgun into the secret evidence closet the prophets use, and clean up the coffee cups + coffee maker to try and mask the use of foxglove in his kill. He'd also be wearing Kaiba's coat during the murder to catch any blood and would leave that behind as well, to kind of try and hint that the same person who killed Kaiba killed Akira.

Evidence/Clues: Evidence of him having cleaned the glass Akira drank out of at the Hunting Lodge bathroom (again, he'd try to mask the use of poison in this kill), some foxglove flowers being picked from the garden (OBVIOUSLY), a gunshot residue test would light up on his hands, grains of sugar/maybe a drop of cream for coffee left on the lounge table (he has a sweet tooth, those who have seen him drink a lot of chocolate milk would have noticed that there'd be no way he could have drank his coffee black).

Anything else?: I'VE NEVER DONE A MURDER PROPOSAL BEFORE so yells into hands, I have no idea if this is sufficient enough??? I'm not really sure what sort of evidence could subtly point to Kaito tbh (except, like, who else knows how to make digitalis from foxglove plants to poison someone) SO I'M OPEN TO SUGGESTIONS and also open planning things out with Akira and changing anything about the above proposal to make it work!
