( HUNTERS - WEEK 2 )
![]() For this week, there will be no sudden loss of control for those who have signed their souls away for the greater good. As long as they're in the Curio Shop by 6:05 PM on Monday, nothing out of the ordinary will happen. All they must do is knock on the shop's door, carefully as if to not draw attention towards themselves, and the door will creak open by itself much like the previous week. As per usual, inside this strange room they'll find Craftly seated at a round table. Shelves of antiques line the walls and the smell of peppermint tea wafts through the air. A thin tendril slips across the table from Craftly's sleeve, hooking around his cup of tea. As smug as ever, he smiles to the group. "Come in, Hunters. It's time for us to begin". Welcome, Hunters! As of this week, you'll get the chance to either investigate one other character or arm them with a randomized weapon. If you have any questions, you can shoot us a quick PP or PM as always! ic rulebook | locations | statuses | room assignments private conversations | ic profiles | graveyard | full navigation hunter's handbook |

Can you. . . be more specific about that?
[why did none of them ask about what the sacrifice entails last week]
[why]
no subject
[ He doesn't get it?? Guys, you'll be fine. Probably. ]
It's my solemn oath that no matter what the sacrifice entails, we have ways of ensuring you are not pinned to this secretive mess. Do you really intend to make me spell it out?
no subject
I do, because it's occurring to me a week late I prob'ly should've asked for more details on this. . . uh. Clause of our contract.
Are you going to heal us?
[with magic??]
no subject
You're dreadfully no fun, you know. Next time, read the fine print.
[ But, his sigh lasts for a short while until he nods. ]
You'll be healed.
[ He leaves it vague, though. ]
no subject
[HE JUST WANTED TO BE COMPLETELY SURE, PLZ]
. . . but thanks.
[he doesn't press for more details, although he probably should. he's got a few more questions for Craftly, anyway]
The menu. There's a role out there called the medium, someone who can contact those who have died. It's got me wondering. . .
What happens to the people who are killed here? If they can still be contacted, then--
[he trails off]
no subject
[ He pauses: ]
Would you like that answer regardless?
no subject
. . . yeah. I do.
Where I come from, once people are dead, they're gone. For good. But if the people who die here aren't actually gone, then. . .
[can he save them, too?]
no subject
There is a place in this realm where the dearly departed rest. Their souls, if you will. While their physical forms are gone, their souls... well, there is still very little to do in that case. The Medium is a sole link that can provide closure.
[ He clears his throat: ]
If I speak much more, you will die and give a disadvantage to your companions. It's far too early in the game for this kind of knowledge. Consider yourself lucky.
no subject
Shit--
[well this is miserable]
Is there-- is there any way for us to b-bring them back from that realm? Just yes or no. No details needed.
[because he can't die yet, geez. even he knows that]

[ DRAMATIC PAUSE. ]
With a great sacrifice.
no subject
Somethin' much bigger than a tooth, I imagine.

[ One of Craftly's men appears and offers an old-timey ice pack. ]
Not to say I didn't enjoy that display, but... I advise you sit down before the extraction process.
no subject
. . . thanks.
[a pause]
I s'pose it goes without saying for me to tell you I want to rescue them. Somehow.
[he was serious when he said anything lower than a 100% survival rate was unacceptable!]
no subject
[ He doesn't... sound too pleased, actually... ]
All I can do is wish you luck. There's a thin line between a martyr and a fool.

Don't worry. I won't do anythin' to jeopardize this rebellion. I won't let Yukina and Jay do this alone.
