( HUNTERS - WEEK 3 )
![]() For this week, there will be no sudden loss of control for those who have signed their souls away for the greater good. As long as they're in the Curio Shop by 6:05 PM on Monday, nothing out of the ordinary will happen. All they must do is knock on the shop's door, carefully as if to not draw attention towards themselves, and the door will creak open by itself much like the previous week. As per usual, inside this strange room they'll find Craftly seated at a round table. Shelves of antiques line the walls and the smell of peppermint tea wafts through the air. A thin tendril slips across the table from Craftly's sleeve, hooking around his cup of tea. As smug as ever, he smiles to the group. "Come in, Hunters. It's time for us to begin". Welcome, Hunters! As of this week, you'll get the chance to either investigate one other character or arm them with a randomized weapon. If you have any questions, you can shoot us a quick PP or PM as always! ic rulebook | locations | statuses | room assignments private conversations | ic profiles | graveyard | full navigation hunter's handbook |

[Her brows furrow. They're safe in here. But, outside -]
...are the others... are they in danger?
no subject
Is something going to attack them?
no subject
[ murders are only supposed to happen at the end of the week though, so that doesn't make sense. ]
They need to manually turn the power back on then, right?
no subject
[ He motions with his tentafingies. ]
If your fellow guests have any wits about them, they'd look for the electrical room to assess any damage. If not, my men will be on it shortly.
no subject
But she picks up her tea and sips at it.]
...is there anything we can do from here? To help?
no subject
Or are we stuck here until they flip the lights back on?
no subject
[ he also takes a sip of his tea. ]
no subject
[ He sits in silence for a moment. ]
I don't hear screams of horror, so that's always a good sign!
no subject
Why would it be ill-advised for us to go look at it, and not for them to...?
no subject
[Yukina asked the question of the hour, so he stays quiet, waiting for the answer]
no subject
[ he sounds a little... bitter when saying it. he's frowning, but it's hard to tell even with the candlelight. ]
no subject
[ A pause. ]
Don't think of me as some brute, children. I doubt they are all lambs waiting for slaughter — on the off chance they were, I'd like to avoid losing you by such petty grievances.
no subject
...are we in danger by staying here? If... someone notices that none of us were out there, when all of that happened? Won't it make them suspicious?
[Especially right now.]
It's dark now, but... the lights will come back on. If we're not there when they do, then...
no subject
[his voice is, at least, still even when he next speaks]
We can always say we were in town when the lights went out. It's dark, and there are a lot of people here. I doubt people will miss us that badly.
no subject
[ at least not without a few people tripping and maybe breaking their neck in the dark. ]
no subject
[ There's a genuine smile on his face. But, Craftly outstretches his tentacles, one to his left and one to his right. ]
Take my hands, children.
[ ??? ]
I wish to assure you that whatever happens next, you have no choice but to deal with it or perish. Whatever waits outside this room, it is the reality you're faced with.
no subject
She's... seen worse. Demons come in all sorts of shapes where she comes from - tentacles are sort of the norm. But she's spent so much time around humans lately that, well... it seems a little odd.
But, she takes a breath, and reaches out to hold his... "hand".]
...to deal with it? [She bites her lip.] ...or to make a deal, like we did with you?
no subject
[THIS IS GROSS]
[WHY IS THIS HAPPENING]
Craftly. . . what's happening out there?
[because those were some ominous words, to say the least]
no subject
I think... that's an ultimatum that we accepted when we signed those contracts.
[ he's staring at the door though. ]
no subject
The oldest and strongest emotion of mankind is fear, and the oldest and strongest kind of fear is fear of the unknown.
[ :) ]
That... that is what you must contend with. Your contract is binding and thus, until the very end... you must face the unknown.
no subject
[He's so cryptic. It's like he's trying to freak them out - or maybe that's just the paranoia talking. Who can really say?]
...and we will. We knew what we were getting into when we agreed, so... we'll see this through to the end.
no subject
I've never been the type to let fear stop me before.
[he says, chin tilted up]
Whatever it is. . . we'll stare it down, head on and eyes forward.
no subject
they're good people, even if there's a voice trying to convince him otherwise. ]
You heard them. We are, for better or for worse, yours.
