( HUNTERS - WEEK 3 )
![]() For this week, there will be no sudden loss of control for those who have signed their souls away for the greater good. As long as they're in the Curio Shop by 6:05 PM on Monday, nothing out of the ordinary will happen. All they must do is knock on the shop's door, carefully as if to not draw attention towards themselves, and the door will creak open by itself much like the previous week. As per usual, inside this strange room they'll find Craftly seated at a round table. Shelves of antiques line the walls and the smell of peppermint tea wafts through the air. A thin tendril slips across the table from Craftly's sleeve, hooking around his cup of tea. As smug as ever, he smiles to the group. "Come in, Hunters. It's time for us to begin". Welcome, Hunters! As of this week, you'll get the chance to either investigate one other character or arm them with a randomized weapon. If you have any questions, you can shoot us a quick PP or PM as always! ic rulebook | locations | statuses | room assignments private conversations | ic profiles | graveyard | full navigation hunter's handbook |

[ god he just. slumps in his chair, but the movement bothers his finger and he freezes as pain shoots up. ]
Is there... anything we should talk about?
no subject
[SAID SO DRYLY. he isn't lifting his head]
I think. . . t-think that's it for me. Not much we can do 'til next week, since Kaiba's a S-sacrifice and not a Prophet.
no subject
[In which case - ugh.]
...if anything comes up, I'll let the two of you know.
no subject
yup.
just sitting here.
until. ]
Wait. Akane.
no subject
[shit]
[in all the commotion, he almost forgot]
. . . right!
The Teacher-- Light-- lowered her GPA last week. Which is why she was outside on Thursday night. If someone had targeted her. . .
[she would've been helpless]

...I'll be meeting him in a few hours. I can... try and see if I can get him to tell me.
[...]
He doesn't seem to distrust me... well. ...normally, anyway.
no subject
Be careful... even thought we know he's just a Sacrifice, these night terrors might make him even more defensive than he already is...
[ which is like. super defensive. you can't even say the word "murder" without him going "IT WASN'T ME" in response damn. ]
I wonder what happens if you raise someone's GPA?
no subject
He might be a Sacrifice, but s'not a good idea to trust someone who is willing to put someone in extra danger for. . . hell, why would he target Akane like that?
[and in response to Jay, but only after he flinches and sucks in a sharp breath as pain shoots through his hand]
If lowering it puts someone in danger, then raising it must keep them safe somehow.
no subject
[Like. For real, Light.]
I'll be careful... hopefully I'll have something to report to you tomorrow.
[she's just straight up going to ask "why did you do that" I'm so sorry]
no subject
He might try raising it this week then. He seems smart enough to at least be thorough with his investigation.
no subject
I hope that's true. I'd much prefer him use his role to help people, not hurt 'em.
no subject
[Suddenly, something he told her awhile back makes so much more sense.]
He said if there was anyone I thought might be after me... I should let him know who. [...so it sounded like he was willing to use his power to help her? Maybe?] He didn't tell me he was the Teacher at that time, of course, but... he seems willing to cooperate with me, so maybe I'll have some luck.
no subject
[ it would make killing them so much easier?? ]
no subject
Yeah. All Yukina has to do is tell him she's worried about the Prophet targeting her.
no subject
[She purses her lips.]
...I don't like what he did to her. But maybe... he didn't know exactly what it would do. We'll... we'll find out.
no subject
[ if he did know what he was doing then he's a dick. but a useful dick. ]
no subject
. . . all right.
Then, if that's that, I think we're actually finished now.
no subject
[She pauses, then looks down.]
In the meantime, please take care.
