At exactly 6:00 PM on Monday night, something very strange will happen to you. Regardless of whatever you were doing or whatever you were planning to do, you will find yourself stopping midway. Numbness spreads from your toes to the top of your head. You feel no control of your body. Thousands of shivers roam up your nerves, controlling your limbs like strings to a limp puppet. You're aware of your body moving - out of the room and into the first floor hallway. It's not until you stop in front of the unmarked room nestled between the Kitchen and Laundry that you regain control of your body. A soft click, and the door creaks open. Inside the room you'll find a small group of people and Craftly seated at a round table. Shelves of antiques line the walls and the smell of peppermint tea wafts through the air. A thin tendril slips across the table from Craftly's sleeve, hooking around his cup of tea. As smug as ever, he smiles to you. "Come in, Hunter. It's time for us to begin". Welcome, Hunters! As you should have been told by now, you represent the "detective" faction of this game. It's your job to ICly suspect those around you and discover who belongs to the "mafia" faction before it's far too late. For this first mingle (and all others, really), we encourage your characters to get to know each other, shitpost to your heart's content, and share your personal roles. It would probably be best if we kept an eye on them in particular, and any of the other especially young children, too. Many of them seem capable, judging by their cards, but... I get the feeling those cards are meant to make us suspicious of each other, not to paint a completely accurate image of what we can and can't do.

I wouldn't want any of them to get in over their heads, and be hurt as a result.

Agreed. The younger participants are easy targets, after all. Even if they are able to defend themselves, potential killers would probably assume that they'll put up less of a fight than someone with more experience.

[ he smiles grimly. ]

Normally, I'd like to say that people would be less likely to want to kill the children, but if these Prophets are as bloodthirsty as we've been lead to believe... I doubt that will be the case here.

Between the three of us, we should try to get to know everyone here. The more overlap the better so we can exchange notes more efficiently, but considering there's so many people to go through that probably won't be possible for every single person.

I planned on talking to Akane, Kurusu, Dave 'n Jason. I could let you guys know what they say, if ya want. It's a start.

I'll try and get to know as many of the younger ones as I can. [Though, really, as none of them are super old-looking, it should be easy enough for any of them to make friends with the children.] And... I'll try and get an idea of what Suzaku-san is planning to do. Of course, I'll spend time with as many people as possible, too.

[They will be a trio of social butterflies.]

In that case, I'll try to see if I can get to know some of the... shadier people a little better. When we do these meetings we should report on anyone who seems to have stood out more so than others, for both good and bad reasons.

[ he means figure out who's suspicious and also who seems like they'd be overall useless to their investigation but he keeps that insulting part to himself, whoops. ]

As for the three of us, we should be seen together to each other in public, but we shouldn't make it obvious that we're seeing each other more than other people are. We should just make it believable enough in case we ever have to defend each other in trials.

More seriously, we should meet each other in public one last time before our excursion next week. That way it won't look weird for us to be exploring together.

...no publicly-known ones, anyway. [But if either of them seem like they're going to get targeted she's joining them in their room that night whether they like it or not.] As the situation becomes more dangerous, we may need to stick together.

But yes, meeting again in front of other people is a good idea. Luckily, this place is small enough that it won't be difficult to make that happen.

Right. And as time passes, we can probably meet up in the open more often just because it'll make sense for people to grow closer during dangerous situations such as these. But for now, at least, let's remain quiet.
