( SEANCE - WEEK 4, DAVE )

[Like before, Emily's hands and forehead are slathered in cool blood in preparation for the ritual. She's made to sit in the middle of the circle, a coppery stench filling her nostrils as her back faces the only exit in the room. Next to her is the usual white basin, dried blood staining its edges as a severed hand stares back at her.

Craftly will stick around in case his assistance is needed, but won't participate in the conversation. Though neither Dave nor Emily will be able to see each other, they will still be able to hear their voices as clearly as if they were speaking in person. Now, it's up to the Medium to initiate the conversation.]

( SEANCE - WEEK 3, OMEGA )

[As with the last time, preparations are made and blood is slathered into Emily's hands and forehead. When she is instructed to sit down in front of the white basin, she will find a pair of eyes staring back at her. The optic membrane is still attached, rapidly drying blood staining the porcelain.

Strangely enough, they're the same color Omega's eyes used to be.

Craftly will stick around in case his assistance is needed, but won't participate in the conversation. Though neither Omega nor Emily will be able to see each other, they will still be able to hear their voices as clearly as if they were speaking in person. Now, it's up to the Medium to initiate the conversation.]

( SEANCE - WEEK 2, JASON )

[As promised by Craftly, a faceless man waits for Emily as soon as curfew is lifted. Up the stairs they both go, down the outdoor hallway and towards the Dark Room. Craftly stands by the door, a grim look on his face as he pulls a small glass vial from his suit's pocket. Removing the lid with one tendril, he dips another into the contents. They are distinctively red.]

My apologies for this, young miss.

[And then copious amounts of blood are slathered onto the palms of Emily's hands and her forehead. The coppery scent will invade her nostrils, but not nearly as much as when she's ushered into the Dark Room. Candles light up the usually pitch black space, and she will quickly notice that alchemical symbols have been etches into the ground with chalk. In the middle of the circle is a white basin.

A tongue rests inside of it.

Emily will be instructed to sit down in front of it, facing the wall with her back towards the door. Craftly will stick around just in case his help is needed, but strangely enough? Emily won't feel any of the usual spookiness from the Dark Room. Only eerie silence, and something of a light pressure in the atmosphere.]

Speak, Emily, and the dead will answer you.

[And now it's up to her to carry this conversation. No pressure.]

( THE MEDIUM )

Each Tuesday morning, you will wake up with a note in your hand. The handwriting is a little on the messy side, to the point where one might wonder if it was written in the middle of an earthquake, but it remains legible. It reads:

Dear Medium,

I will be waiting for you at 11:00 PM, in the Lounge. The bartender will allow you inside. Do try to be on time.

Should you do as the note says and swing by the Lounge at the time specified, you will find Craftly sitting by the bar. A glass of something undoubtedly expensive is held up by one tendril, and he takes a sip as you enter the room. Next to him sits another glass, untouched and clearly meant for your consumption. It's non-alcoholic — probably. You might just have to take a sip to find out.

Once you've come closer, he will give you a grim smile and say:

"Come take a seat, Medium."

Welcome, Medium! To summarize the key aspects of what this role entails:

Each week, your character will meet with Craftly to select one character from the graveyard to have a private conversation with.
This private conversation will happen ICly on Wednesday. We'll help to coordinate for you and set the post up, so don't worry.
The private conversation won't be censored, but sharing information gained from the graveyard with the living might not be safe. Use caution if sharing your role.
Seeing as how the graveyard is super duper empty on Week 1, there won't be any choice to be made on this week.
