( HUNTERS - WEEK 2 )

For this week, there will be no sudden loss of control for those who have signed their souls away for the greater good. As long as they're in the Curio Shop by 6:05 PM on Monday, nothing out of the ordinary will happen. All they must do is knock on the shop's door, carefully as if to not draw attention towards themselves, and the door will creak open by itself much like the previous week. As per usual, inside this strange room they'll find Craftly seated at a round table. Shelves of antiques line the walls and the smell of peppermint tea wafts through the air. A thin tendril slips across the table from Craftly's sleeve, hooking around his cup of tea. As smug as ever, he smiles to the group. "Come in, Hunters. It's time for us to begin". Welcome, Hunters! [ why couldn't he just get a horrible migraine instead of this, he has treaded on ground that should never be walked on.

it takes him longer than it usually would for him to respond. he's so taken aback about this. ]

... Right. But can we assume that whoever, um, that is... is working with the Prophets?

[ please don't tentacle him again ]

I can not disclose much as that is outside of my realm of capability. What is a Prophet without something to devote to?

[ Is all he says, a solemn nod follows.

He stands back, running his hand through his hair and adjusting his suit. ]

This realm is not of my own ruling, as I've explained... It's beyond myself.

Right... I understand.

[ now that jay isn't distracted by TENTACLE!!!!! it's more than a little startling how craftly reacted there. it definitely helps put how dangerous these beings are in more perspective. ]

I have another question. On the menu, one of the items is a skeleton key. Can whoever has it enter this room with it? You told Yukina last week that there's a possibility that other people can enter here.

Unfortunately, that is correct. The Convict has not selected this room, but the possibility is there.

[ninjay]

[ okay they... definitely should not leave any belongings in here then. ]

Could they get in while we're having meetings?

[abhoth]

The chance of that is highly unlikely. If that was the case, I will ensure my men stand post outside busying themselves to keep the Convict away. We do have schedules that likely do not coincide with one another

[ninjay]

That's one less thing to worry about, at least.

I just have one more question. Was Omega's announcement in the dining room correct? About how it'll be more noticeable when the Ghost possesses someone again than it was last trial?

[abhoth]

Yes. She came to me with regret and fear that the game has been made uneven. Dare I say, unfair. While our Ghost player is not without their faults... it's impossible for you all to know their rules. Thus, I was in agreement with Omega to even the playing fields.

[ A nod. ]

Anyone possessed by the Ghost will be marked. It is your duty to find that mark.

That's very thoughtful of you.

[ it won't do anything to help hana, but it's better than nothing. ]

You must not thank me. As morally obligated as I'd love the game to me... depending upon the group — some... simply do not play fair or some skew the results from the beginning.

[ He clears his throat. ]

I'd rather see this game run properly.

Still. I know that a lot of the other participants think of you as less... fair, than you actually are. I'm glad to know otherwise.

Craftly, what happens if someone other than us kills a Prophet? Does it still count the same as if we were the ones who did it?

[abhoth]

It would, yes. After all — it's beyond your control if a Prophet receives the majority vote at the end of the trial. However, be warned... The ritual you're partaking in will not reveal the role and identity of the dead.

... I see. That's somewhat inconvenient, but I'm sure we can work around that. Thank you.
