( PROPHETS - WEEK 3 )

On Sunday night, as soon as the grandfather clocks mark 6:00, a voice will speak to you. The tone may vary from person to person, the voice's pitch shifting and changing to suit her facilitators's needs — but the words will remain the same. Similarly for all those who can hear it, they'll suddenly find themselves captivated by it. "Come now, little ones. It's time to partake." And just like that, you find yourself drawn towards the nearest mirrored surface on the wall, somehow managing to avoid calling the attention of anyone who might be in the room with you. Though this is your first time participating in the ritual, knowledge still floods your mind. A light press of your hand against the mirror, and you will find yourself capable of stepping through the previously solid surface and into the shrine room. Here, you find yourself accompanied by two (2) other individuals. And though your handler can't be physically among you, you still feel her presence enveloping you and saturating the air in this room. Glance up, and through the glass ceiling you'll be able to see her in all her glory. It seems it's time for this week's sacrifice to be chosen. People seemed to be having more fun arm wrestling him than figuring out who killed Hibiki up until the last hour. Guess we got lucky.

Luck won't save him if he becomes suspicious again. Perhaps he should take a break this week?

Agreed. You might want to be careful too. They seemed to let go of you as a potential accomplice, but if Tsurugi is ever discovered it may come back to haunt you.

Frankly, I'm surprised by how easily they accepted my lie. I suppose this means he and I shouldn't associate in public; after all, I should be annoyed that he tried to use me as an excuse.

[sorry not sorry about sort of abandoning you, Tsurugi, but he had to cut his losses??]

I'm going to go after two targets on Thursday. I don't want people crying and moaning about the poor Ghost victim having to be lynched. Those idiots still won't shut the hell up about Hana sometimes. I'll need to kill whoever I possess.

[She just rolls her eyes a little, highly unimpressed.]

But I don't want it to be some boring affair. I want to make a game out of it.

Oh yeah, it really was! If it wasn't for my upbringing I'd probably be the dead one, so I give him that.

Is that so? I almost wish I'd volunteered for that one instead, then. But since I hadn't, and you're the one who almost got caught, try to not act suspicious this week.

I reaaaally wanted to put him in the bar, but something came up! Or the pool...? But I don't really like pools, so I wanted to avoid that. I didn't really expect to get into a full on fight with him so it took up some precious time...

Right, because of Omega. The pool I guess was because Akane was constantly in it for most of Thursday. [She puts a hand to her hip and sighs.] I wonder what to make of Velvet being targeted by the Teacher. Her and Akane both... I wish I knew if the Teacher was on our side or not.

The fact that other people are killing besides us is pretty weird, isn't it? I wonder why...

If we can find this teacher maybe we can talk to them! But that would also risk exposing ourselves if we do ever find their identity...

I don't think it's weird. We're facilitators to ensure the ritual is complete, but that doesn't necessarily mean we're the only ones who have a motivation to go through with killing. We can use it to our advantage frankly.

[Because if not for Kamui, Tsurugi would likely be dead now.]

Yeah I agree. It's too risky to trust people who aren't in our group. You never know who will try to get rid of you - people are surely forming alliances.

They may not be aware of the Prophets' existence, specifically. They could just believe that they're making the kill easier for anyone who chooses to carry one out that week.

Seeing as how our complete victory would require their death, I wouldn't see them as liking us very much.
