( WEEK ONE - PROPHETS )

On Sunday night, as soon as the grandfather clocks mark 6:00, a voice will speak to you. The tone may vary from person to person, the voice's pitch shifting and changing to suit her facilitators's needs — but the words will remain the same. Similarly for all those who can hear it, they'll suddenly find themselves captivated by it.

"Come now, little ones. It's time to partake."

And just like that, you find yourself drawn towards the nearest mirrored surface on the wall, somehow managing to avoid calling the attention of anyone who might be in the room with you. Though this is your first time participating in the ritual, knowledge still floods your mind. A light press of your hand against the mirror, and you will find yourself capable of stepping through the previously solid surface and into the shrine room. Here, you find yourself accompanied by two (2) other individuals. And though your handler can't be physically among you, you still feel her presence enveloping you and saturating the air in this room.

Glance up, and through the glass ceiling you'll be able to see her in all her glory.

It seems it's time for this week's sacrifice to be chosen.

Welcome, Prophets! Starting as of today, you can expect a weekly faction mingle where you will be free to shitpost, theorize, and eventually, cast your vote for whoever you will be killing this week. To summarize the key aspects from your OOC info post:
  1. A Prophet's main role is to kill at least one other person each week. This kill will need to happen between Thursday and Friday, and will count towards that week's trial.

  2. Sometimes, the Prophets will be asked to kill a person who has begun to bore the Unclean and is negatively impacting her ability to enjoy the ritual. This kill will usually happen after their faction meeting on Monday, and will not count towards that week's trial.

  3. Prophet players don't need to fill out a murder proposal for faction kills.

  4. The Prophets have access to every room inside the motel that carries a mirror or a mirrored surface, since they've been granted the power to travel through mirrors. The location descriptions will usually note if a room comes with anything of the sort, and all bedrooms carry two (2) mirrors by default. One in the main room, and another in the bathroom.

  5. Even if they die during the ritual, they'll be automatically revived at the end as long as they held up their side of the bargain (as in, actively participated during the ritual).

  6. Speaking of their side of the bargain: Whatever they've been promised in exchange for their cooperation, they'll receive once the ritual is over.

  7. This goes without saying, but just a gentle reminder. All Prophets are willing participants of the ritual, and have agreed to McMurder 39 other individuals in exchange for having their wishes granted by an eldritch abomination. You do you, Prophets.

As a reminder, you have until Tuesday, 11:59 PM EST to pick whoever you're all going to murder so you have plenty of time to plot how the kill will be carried out. Given that this is the very first week, we ask that you pick between the two mod characters listed in the Prophet Handbook, and as always — feel free to hit us up on the designated weekly faction plurk if you have any questions!
