( WEEK ONE - PROPHETS )

On Sunday night, as soon as the grandfather clocks mark 6:00, a voice will speak to you. The tone may vary from person to person, the voice's pitch shifting and changing to suit her facilitators's needs — but the words will remain the same. Similarly for all those who can hear it, they'll suddenly find themselves captivated by it.

"Come now, little ones. It's time to partake."

And just like that, you find yourself drawn towards the nearest mirrored surface on the wall, somehow managing to avoid calling the attention of anyone who might be in the room with you. Though this is your first time participating in the ritual, knowledge still floods your mind. A light press of your hand against the mirror, and you will find yourself capable of stepping through the previously solid surface and into the shrine room. Here, you find yourself accompanied by two (2) other individuals. And though your handler can't be physically among you, you still feel her presence enveloping you and saturating the air in this room.

Glance up, and through the glass ceiling you'll be able to see her in all her glory.

It seems it's time for this week's sacrifice to be chosen.

Welcome, Prophets! Starting as of today, you can expect a weekly faction mingle where you will be free to shitpost, theorize, and eventually, cast your vote for whoever you will be killing this week. To summarize the key aspects from your OOC info post:
  1. A Prophet's main role is to kill at least one other person each week. This kill will need to happen between Thursday and Friday, and will count towards that week's trial.

  2. Sometimes, the Prophets will be asked to kill a person who has begun to bore the Unclean and is negatively impacting her ability to enjoy the ritual. This kill will usually happen after their faction meeting on Monday, and will not count towards that week's trial.

  3. Prophet players don't need to fill out a murder proposal for faction kills.

  4. The Prophets have access to every room inside the motel that carries a mirror or a mirrored surface, since they've been granted the power to travel through mirrors. The location descriptions will usually note if a room comes with anything of the sort, and all bedrooms carry two (2) mirrors by default. One in the main room, and another in the bathroom.

  5. Even if they die during the ritual, they'll be automatically revived at the end as long as they held up their side of the bargain (as in, actively participated during the ritual).

  6. Speaking of their side of the bargain: Whatever they've been promised in exchange for their cooperation, they'll receive once the ritual is over.

  7. This goes without saying, but just a gentle reminder. All Prophets are willing participants of the ritual, and have agreed to McMurder 39 other individuals in exchange for having their wishes granted by an eldritch abomination. You do you, Prophets.

As a reminder, you have until Tuesday, 11:59 PM EST to pick whoever you're all going to murder so you have plenty of time to plot how the kill will be carried out. Given that this is the very first week, we ask that you pick between the two mod characters listed in the Prophet Handbook, and as always — feel free to hit us up on the designated weekly faction plurk if you have any questions!

ROLE SHARING

[After any introductions are over:]

Ok, so we should share our roles. I think that's the best way to proceed - utilizing what we have is important.

My role is The Ghost. I can possess people for 15 continuous minutes every day. During that time I can control them in any way I want. This includes using any power, item or weapon they were given as well. I can even use people to kill on my behalf - however I would still be considered the true culprit.

The downside is that while I'm in another person's body, mine is completely vulnerable. It's like... my consciousness shifts out of my body and into their's. But while that happens, my body has no conscious. It may as well just be a pile of flesh.

OPERATION: DEEZ NUTS

Alright, so I think we got some good information to make up a plan. So hear me out on this.

We should frame Hana and kill Jason. She has a piano wire that is only able to be used by her... however, when I possess someone I can use whatever they have as well. After everyone is asleep, I'll use the mirror to get into Room 111 and possess her. Once I do that I'll have 15 minutes to kill Jason before I'm forced out. I think we should decide if I should kill Jason inside his room, or outside. If the roommates wake up, Hana would be immediately implicated but we risk also not successfully killing Jason.

Either way, I'll use her piano wire to do it. I can wrap it around his neck and strangle him in his sleep. A wire like that is usually sharp enough that it could cause blood to come out during the process - I can make sure some of it gets into her fingernails. They'll probably want to do body searches of some kind during our trial. The wire will also leave an imprint, making it clear it wasn't strangulation by using one's hands. If Hana is forced to confess that she owns a piano wire, she'll be immediately suspicious.

Once I'm done, no matter where it may be, we should move Jason's body by pushing it through the mirror. I'll go back into Hana's room and get back into bed before the fifteen minutes are up. Intentionally I'll make some noises so one or both roommates might get woken up and notice she was up at night. If they fully wake up and spot me, I can always just say I wanted to get water or go to the bathroom - it's an easy excuse. She won't remember anything I do in the end.

As for Jason's body, we might want to leave it in Hana's room. The only decision is if we move it into the room while I possess her, or after I'm out - if someone in my room does wake up and sees the corpse, we might have people causing a ruckus in the middle of the night. It'd give us less time to maybe set-up other components to our frame up if we decide we want anything else.

Any other thoughts?
